Yeah, I generally felt like McIntyre broadly speaking has more respect for Ursula than he does most of his subjects (which is fair, she was very successful!) Usually you sort of get the feeling that he's writing in the genre of dark sitcom, but Ursula really does get the epic capital-R Romance treatment most of the time.
