"Beetlejuice" the movie was funny. Betelgeuse the character annoyed the hell out of me; he really wasn't that entertaining.

I love how Tim Burton uses the same freaking people over and over again. Of the many Tim Burton movies I've seen, this was only the second one that didn't have Johnny Depp in it. Had Winona Ryder, who was also in Edward Scissorhands. Had almost identical music to Edward Scissorhands. Thought maybe that's what happens if Danny Elfman's sick or something; they just use music he'd already written. (Screen replies: MUSIC BY DANNY ELFMAN. Predictable.) Recognized one other guy from Sleepy Hollow. Recognized a lot of the Claymation as being almost identical to Nightmare Before Christmas, including the black-and-white stripey snake. Winona Rider as Lydia the goth-chick absolutely priceless, and I want the big black sun hat. Winona Ryder looks EXACTLY the same today as she did in 1988. When she was my age. I hope I don't look exactly the same when I'm in my mid-thirties as I do today, but it works for her.

I am turning into such a Tim Burton fangirl.

Don't forget Big Fish, who had neither Johnny Depp or Winona Rider :P
