So I have 390 books catalogued on LibraryThing. If I get ten more I will have a nice round 400. Then I can start working towards half a thousand.

I am so, so tempted to run back down to the bookstore and buy ten books RIGHT NOW. But I am holding off until I can get to Chatham Booksellers at home where books are cheap enough that I can buy ten at once without feeling guilty.

Yesterday I read Sabriel, which is about necromancy (and is awesome), and bought Good Omens, which is about the Apocalypse, and The Great Mortality, which is about the Black Plague. What is wrong with me?

PS Some part of my brain is evidently under the misconception that "And Then There Was Silence" is a really happy song, 'cos it gets stuck in my head every time something really awesome happens. WTF.

They would totally ruin it, but I would love to see Sabriel in film.

Or more fanart at least.

Now Lirael and Abhorsen!

I bought Abhorsen, used, for $2.

Now I *have* to buy Lirael, 'cos I can't just have the first and third book in a trilogy, it's just wrong.

Sabriel would make an awesome creepy film if they did it right. And I just wrote "dead it right" by accident. Hee.
