Day Of Silence
April 13th, 2005
The Day of Silence is a national student protest against the discrimination that members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and queer community face. This discrimination forces members of this community into silence and fear.
On April 13th, 2005 the Alliance will be hosting the Day of Silence on Drew's campus.
On the dates of April 11th through April 13th, the Alliance will set up a table in the University Center where those who are interested in participating may find out how to participate in the Day of Silence and will be able to receive any materials needed to participate.
The Day of Silence will be followed by a Breaking of the Silence event at 5 PM on Hoyt lawn as well as a Night of Noise later on in the night. More details will be provided at the Alliance table.
If you have any questions please contact alliance@drew.edu.

I am delighted to announce that former President William J. Clinton has agreed to be the first Thomas H. Kean Visiting Lecturer and will deliver remarks in the Simon Forum on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, at 8:00 PM.
I established the Visiting Lectureship to annually bring to campus a political scientist, historian, or statesman of exceptional national or international prominence to deliver a lecture to the entire University community and members of the general public.
I am honored that President Clinton will begin this new tradition at Drew and encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity. Drew students, faculty, and staff with Drew ID will be admitted free of charge.
Sincerely,
Thomas H. Kean
President
