Random expression of flaily glee
Feb. 14th, 2008 11:24 pmThis post is just to say that I LOVE JUDO. EVEN WHEN ITS AWKWARD.
Today was like, super-awkward Valentines Day special edition CUDDLEFEST JUDO. Shay and I could barely even *try* to throw each other off, we were laughing so hard. We were doing holds where you basically lie crosswise on top of the other person and put one arm around their neck and the other arm around their arm and stick your face in their neck so they cant gouge your eyes out, and then the other person flails around until they flip you over. Watching the other pairs try to fight each other while attached at the shoulders was HILARIOUS.
Apparently there are a bunch of other holds that are even more awkward, which Charlene demonstrated on Mike, but we have not learned them yet, and some of them I hope we never get around to, namely the one thats like YOU CANT GET UP COS I HAS YOUR THIGH.
Combining the hold with the throws was interesting; its basically "throw someone over your hip and then LAND ON THEM AND HUG THEIR HEAD".
...It was a bonding experience.
