1. Um. One, my lack of faith in myself, and the disappointments I let myself go through. Two, the seeming impossibility of affecting real change, or preventing people from getting hurt. Three, mediocrity. Four, Somebody Else's Problem thinking. Five, politics. Six, the people (or respect for people, or bits of people) I've lost in the past few years.
2. An umbrella term for a myriad of different things, because language is badly equipped for explaining them.
3. Only if it doesn't get in the way of bettering things.
4. Truth. And they're most emphatically not the same--sometimes beauty may be a truth, but it can certainly also be used to mask it.
