bloodygranuaileMan, this is officially the least depressed I've been around Christmas since I was about two. Apparently I went through my holiday depression around my birthday because APPARENTLY CHRISTMAS SEASON STARTED AROUND HALLOWEEN THIS YEAR. [Insert "this country sucks" rant.]
Besides being v. v. tired and having my feet hurt from running around at work for nearly six hours today, I'm rather happy. I spent much of the school day dispensing chocolate mousse cake to people. Ella gave me syphilis, meaning a pink coiled plushie with eyes. In German, Alex successfully wasted a full ten minutes of our thirty-minute class with a blow-by-blow account of his plans for the week ("And then Wednesday morning I'm going to wake up around eleven-thirty, and then I'm going to take a shower...")(but in German). In History we watched the music video for Billy Joel's "A Matter of Trust" because Mr. Grundfest was an extra in it. Had dinner at my father's--Birdie and my grandma are there. Quote of the Evening was my grandmother's declaration that "I don't sleep with dogs or men."
It's been a rather entertaining day.
Tomorrow I work from 7 til 3. Next day is Christmas. Then if I have not killed myself I am going to sleep very very late, and potentially be sociable later in the day once I've recovered. Then would like to sleep until we go back to school, except this is probably not doable. Or even desirable, as I have other fun stuff to do over break that I haven't planned yet. I think.
