A little venting

"Literature and Identity in the Francophone Caribbean" is going to kill me. For serious. It's really interesting, but... it'd be a 200-level course even if it were all in English, and my French is a tiny little bit rusty after not having been used since freshman year. On the upside, Mme Ferly is still awesome and adorable.
Construction in the gym can go die. I wants karate already.
Church bells ringing for 15 minutes at a stretch on the hour, every hour can go die too, if you haven't heard me rant on this one. Obviously Jesus doesn't want us to get any homework done. Especially the church that has "In this place I will give peace" inscribed in gigantic letters on the front, which has the loudest bells. It should at least say "ONLY in this place...". NO PEACE OUTSIDE CHURCH WALLS. GOD DOES NOT WANT.
Insert similar rant for Rock Band. I think I could learn to really, really hate Rock Band. In multiple languages.
On lighter note: I am so far really enjoying all four of my classes this semester (yes, even the really hard one). I have started taking shifts with ET again, and will possibly be at Hanover tomorrow, so I will have income again (has it really only been three weeks? It feels like so much longer). I am tired a lot, but I am too busy to dwell on things that would otherwise make me Srsly Irritated And/Or Mopey. I am actually rather enjoying being busy; I feel productive. Battlestar Galactica is still awesome. Mom says she hopes to be able to make a final decision on a car within a week. Tomorrow is Talk Like a Pirate Day.
Actually, that shouldn't get lumped into a paragraph.
TOMORROW IS TALK LIKE A PIRATE DAY! YARR!
Birthday hugs for

Date: 2008-09-19 12:44 am (UTC)Battlestar Galactica will be forever awesome. Especially since the writers are awesome enough to realize that if you keep stretching out a good thing..it eventually becomes a bad thing. So they're ending it before it gets to that point. On the one hand, you're sad because then it's over and there can never be new, awesome episodes. On the other hand, well, at least they didn't jump the shark. (cough, 24, cough)
Yay for birthday hugs for me. I feel old. 22? Really? I've really started to feel like an adult, it's weird. I need to do something extremely childish, just to know I've still got it!

Date: 2008-09-19 03:10 am (UTC)I'm still on Season 3, so I still have lots of 'new' episode to look forward to. >.> The jump from Season 2 to Season 3 is kind of weird though... moustache is not a good look on Adama Sr... fat is certainly not a good look for Adama Jr, but I guess that's that point. All the people that got married and had babies and stuff in that one-year period is making me go o.O. And I liked Gaius better when he was funny.
Now I want to be childish too. >.> It should snow so we can frolick in that ghetto-ass playground on Downing & Florence.

Date: 2008-09-19 02:59 am (UTC)And I have a lot of homework. And our library is under construction.
Oh, and it was Arcade Night, which meant there was also Rock Band in the university center, my housemates were just too cool to go. >.
