The Tolkien purists have decided that yes, we're too bloody mean. Point was driven home by Mercuria leaving the board, because she couldn't both stay on the board and learn how to treat people kindly. Luckily, Jen created a spiffy new website for purist/fangirl teaching (http://www.geocities.com/jen_loves_elves/index.html). I signed up for the beta-readers list; yay!

Have been disturbingly cheerful all day, much of it through refusing to pay any attention to depressing stuff, but mostly just random--have been hard pressed not to crack up laughing in the hallways. I must be overtired; no one in their right mind is this happy during school hours...

Ah, whatever. I'm enjoying myself.

from what i can you girls are mean as hell. i mean, forcing your opinion on someone who is just enjoying themselves for your own enjoyment... i could see it if you didn't foce it upon them and didn't show it to them, maybe, but this "constructive crit" crap... whatever.

hmm...
well, i'm more pro-writing fanfiction than pro-bashing other peoples fanfiction, thats for sure.
although i do not do either.
there really isn't much point in hurting others feelings --- some of them may actually take their work seriously and telling them how much they completely suck wont help...
personally, i think that if you guys keep doing this bashing you should at least stop sending it to the people, 'cuz i think thats mean...
