So, random good news (where "good" means "convenient because I am a cheap lazy arsehole"): the office for where I will be SAVING THE WORLD BECAUSE I ARE A SUPERHERO! working this summer is right across the street from Penn Station. So: modes of transportation to be taken during a commute=ONE. One train ride. Not one drive + two different but both trainlike modes of public transportation + 15 minute "walk" (ie, RUNRUNRUNYOU'REINNEWYORK!!), or one real train + one PATH train + 15-minute walk + so does somebody want to come have dinner with me in the city so you can drive me home from Hoboken?

So, commute will be that much less killmyself-inducing. Yay. Plus, I get to be a superhero.

In other news, French dissertations=blargh.

Environmental advocacy canvassing raising money stuff at Campaign to Save the Environment/Fund for Public Research/bunch of other related left-wing organizations. >.> I think it's mostly like "convince people to give us money so we can embarrass politicians into stopping global warming and things". I prefer to think of it as "saving the world" because it sounds better.
