WHAT THE FUCK, FRANCE? You elected SARKOZY?

In other news, I have finished both my papers, tomorrow I have both my exams, and tonight we are all getting together and burninating the syllabi from our least favorite classes. I am excited.

Tonight, instead of going to the playground and goofing off until all hours of the night, I must go to bed at a decent hour. Because I have an eight am exam tomorrow. I do not do eight am anymore. D:

I can't believe I go home the day after tomorrow. I'm almost not a freshman anymore. This is so trippy.

(Note: "Music" entry= "Let's play games at Keen's expense" at dinner today. Last person to hit the table when Keen says certain keywords has to yell "penis." Liz lost every time.)

Between France and Scotland, Europe's beginning to annoy me.

Looking by the numbers though, this isn't completely surprising. If all of LePen's voters votes for Sarkozy (despite his encouraging his supporters to boycott the election), and Baryou's supporters split down the middle (Baryou didn't call to vote for either in the second round), it apparently adds up to a Sarkozy victory.

Edit: Bayrou said he wouldn't vote for Sarkozy. I fail to read. Still, his supporters seemed to have other plans.

Eh, no, it's not surprising. I just like to think that the French are smarter than we are. Because I am delusional.

On a totally unrelated note, we should go urban spelunking in New York this summer.

See you soon. :)

Urban spelunking sounds fun. I'll add it to the list of things I am doing/hope to do this summer.

I'll be home for some period of time between the 12th and 17th, come back to Laf for a couple days. After that, I'm free (and hopefully shackled to a summer job)!!

On another totally unrelated note, that sounds like a really funny game.

the voter turnout was like.. 12% or something, worse than it is here. So.. Blame 6% of France!

I heard their voter turnout was like 85%.

Sho confused.

It was for the first round. Don't know about the second round, but I doubt it was 12%. France usually has very high voter participation (they may have compulsory voting, but I'm not sure.)
