And so now am faced with Massively Difficult Decision... do I start on "A History of God", or "The Divine Comedy"? Or do I give myself a break and read something that doesn't have so much to do with religion?

Date: 2005-01-27 06:00 pm (UTC)My copy of the Divine Comedy is probably about 30% Dante; it's got so many introductions and summaries and explanatory notes that I'd have to be reading with my eyes closed to miss anything. At some point I'd like to get a dual-language translation though; I've never studied Italian but I've studied English, French and Spanish so I've found I can understand simple Italian anyway half the time.
I do intend to read the Aenied at some point, though.
